Unpopular opinion: Tails cowering in Unleashed was just as bad as him doing it in Forces. If fans made a bigger deal about it back then we could have probably prevented it happening in Forces.

I’ll take this hot take one step further.
Not to put them all in the one basket, but when fans hold Unleashed and the Storybooks in high acclaim for their portrayals, I get the impression that they’re thinking of Sonic and only Sonic, and maybe the new characters specific to those games.
The rest? They’re irrelevant outside of a couple scenes at best (Tails and Amy in Unleashed), are treated poorly at worst (the Knights in Black Knight), and exist primarily to make Sonic look good either way.
